Weddings Marathon

Jihan & Fadil

Oh boy! What a tiring yet exciting weekend! Weddings, weddings and more weddings! First up, was Jihan's. And she looked real lovely.

Jastina & Imran
Then it was Jastina's. Oppss.. salah, there was Raihana's wedding at CCK but sad to say we didn't have any pics of her. Actually, we didn't even get to see the bride since we had to rush off to Jastina's wedding at Sembawang. Jas looked super gorgeous on the pelamin! And it was quite interesting to see the pengantin lelaki to be iring-ng by Bhangra dancers instead of the usual kompang. Something different huh? If saya yang buat mende tu, dah sah-sah makcik2 saya naik atas pelamin untuk ketuk kepala saya dengan centong nasi! Heheh...

Hazlian & Latiff

The last & most special was of course, my dear Yan's wedding. My friend of more than decade. This marks the end of zaman anak dara geng kita.. Dah khatam dah suma ye... heheh.. Hopefully she'll have a baby soon jadik berambah kecohlah our raya outing next year. ANd I've already told her if its a boy, Ryan will get to bully him, and if it's a girl, Ryan will get to date her. And duit hantaran daoat 90% discount. Heheh..
I love going to weddings, especially the nikah part. It's always very syahdu for me somehow. And I'm always reminded of my own wedding and of how beautiful it was. And how grateful I was for moving a step forward in realising my long time dream of growing old with the man I love.

I Love You, Shahreil B Bakri.

Cukur Rambut

Another milestone for my boy. The event I've been waiting for as I'm beginning to be very rimas-ed of his long hair. Not that I'm looking forward to him being as bald as Lex Luthor, though!

Ryan was truly the star of the day. He was gloriously basking in all the attention that he received that he didnt even cry during the ceremony!

I loved the mini tanjaks we got at Joo Chiat. Last minue lak tu!

The gifts for the di'baie group that was kindly sponsored by Pak Busu who, together with his wife & Cik Niah, went to get from Mustafa Centre close to midnight. Terima kasih daun keladi!

I was super happy that they played all the old songs that I love and grew up with! That's the advantage when most of the group members are related to you in some way. Especially if the group leader is your own Pak Long. Teehee!!

Bapak aku ni, part baca-baca suma dia cabut..tapi part bergendang jer, dengan pantas dia mencapai kompang!

My lovely ladies who made this much more enjoyable!

My own happy family.

Auld Lang Syne

Tekalah kita berdua ni di mana..?

Di dalam tandas di The Pines for our prom night. Ohh.. oklah, not really OURS, but our kids. Tapi tak salah apa feeling2 muda...
This entry will be filled with pics of my kids. So that, in 10.. 20 years.. I can still remember their names. So here begins.. PSS, Class of 08.

Fadzli & Siti
The golden couple. My favourite couple. When I was pregnant with Ryan, I always looked at Fadzli and thought, "Sejuknya perut emak dia dapat anak sebaik ni." He is the nicest, simplest, most hardworking, most dependable, most respectful, most diligent, most on the ball person. Nampak macam terlalu baik and senang kena buli, but he's one of the top NCC cadet in school. You should see him in his uniform, wah!!! SO smart. And thankfully, he has good taste in the choice of a girlfriend. Siti is the female version of Fadzli. A go-getter. I know I can always depend on her. And how she has blossomed into a lovely young lady! This two will most likely excel in life. Insyallah.

Farhana, Khai, Ruziela, Idris
Farhana was my first batch of student when I was still doing my contract teaching. And Khai, I'd remember him as the guy who wears the huge, so-kental-that-makes-it-so-cool specs. And I expect to see him on tv someday doing his hip hoppie thingy that he does so well. Ziela, will save lots of life when she becomes a paramedic. And Idris, the very quiet guy who suprises me at times when he opens up and chat with me.

Mei Sheng & Joanna
Mei Sheng, the artist in my class. All things art..pass to her! And lovely Joanna, my vice-chairman whom I always depend on to collect forms after forms after forms!

Fauzi & Hakim
Fauzi is someone that I will remember for a very very very long time. He is the lightbulb. The walking dictionary. The funnyman. The jiwa seni man. Suma. I've survived organising many concerts with his help. And my class is a happier place when he is around. Hakim will be a star one day. I just know it. He is one of the most talented person I've ever seen!

Chong Hao, Ding Jie, Rachel, Jie Qi, Melissa Tan, Melissa Toh, Alex, Wei Jie
Chong Hao was a huge headache to me when I first became their form teacher in 2007. Memekak tak abis2 & kuat menjawab to the point of being rude. After awhile, I realised that its just his way and he really didnt mean to be kong ajar. I had my own way to handle him and after a few months, I began to feel joy whenever we have the usual banter in class. Ding Jie is the future TCS 8 star. And Rachel, his girlfriend, will be his leading lady. The 2 Melissas suprised me by looking so super pretty that night! I was so stunned! Alex, is the quiet but intelligent boy. ANd Wei Jie.. Let's just say that if I'm ever stranded on an island, I'll know my chances for survival is high if I have him with me!

Atiqah
Looking at this pic made me realise that I didnt take any pics with my 4Normal Tech students. Argh!!

Lau Yi Hong
Forever late! Hahah! Same as Chong Hao, budak ni dulu tak sayang mulut. But after awhile, I realised that beneath all that, he is just a sweet sweet young man!

Melissas & Jie Qie getting their door gifts.

Ding Jie
Every morning, I'd walk down the row and when I come near him, I'd automatically hold out my hand. Why? For him to give me his ear sticks! Every single morning I'd confiscate his ear sticks!
Hahah!

Jordan
Kecik-kecik cili api. Inilah dia. Comel jer..

Aaron Loh
Well, he must be very happy that I wont be around to ask him to cut his fringe anymore!

Diana
I won't say why, but whenver I feel disillusioned about this job, I'd think of Diana. Then, I will remember why I entered this profession in the first place. It is to make a difference in someone's life, be it big or small. And that I am capable of doing it. And I have done it and will keep doing it as long as I can.

My kecoh 5NA boys.

Fidtria
She has grown into a pretty young lady. Just look at how lovely she looked that night! Beauty with the brains!

Hawa
Every single time I look at her, I feel like smiling and giving her a hug. She makes you feel warm inside. She's such a sweet sweet sweet young lady. And she writes the best karangans too!!

Joanne, Jie Qi, Rachel, Mei Sheng & Joanne
Joanne, my very reliable vice-chairman for 2007.

Melissas, Xiao Wei & Anna
Xiao Wei is the girl with the loud voice. When I say loud, i mean REAL LOUD. I've always tried to coax her into joining my Genghis Cheerleading team, tapi jgn harap lah! Anna, another reliable person. People like this make your life so much easier!

Wei Guang, Jordan, Alex, Ding Jie
I remember running all over the hall, trying to make Wei Guang sit down quietly when he was in Sec 1. And that was years ago. SO, imagine my horror when I saw his name in the class list last year. After 2 years, my perception of him has changed drastically. He is truly a young man with a heart of gold!

Royston
My very own BFG! He is the sweetest, most naive young man! What a joy to have in class! Back in 2007, I was pleasantly suprised when he gamely volunteered to be part of the corganising committee for our Eat Together, Stay Together session in class. Susah payah dia siapkan kitorang makanan and he took great pains to ensure that everything, and I mean everything, is halal! Evry single morning, I looked forward to his cheerful greeting as I walked down the line.

Jia Hui & Jue Pei
Chatterbox Jia Hui who reveals her serious, sensivitive and sweet side of her whenever she confided in me. And Jue Pei, the prettiest in 5N2. I expect to see her on the runaway someday!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This, definitely is not the complete collection of my kids' pics. I'm sorry if yours is not up here.
Happy as I am to see them all so grown up and ready to embark on life's wonderful journey, I can't help but feel sad that they are leaving. How do you say goodbye to someone who has been a huge part of your life for two, three, four or even five YEARS ? How do you deal with the fact that you probably will never see the person that you talked to, laughed with, cried with, ever again? I guess I will have to deal with it. Cos it will happen every single year.
I may be the teacher, but every single one of you have taught me something about life.
I wish you all the best. You can never imagine the pride and love I felt for each one of you when I saw you looking the best last night. How my little boys and girls have grown!
You will all be missed so dearly.

Inconsiderate Smoker

I don't normally agree with some of the things the famous Xiaxue write in her blog. But this time round, I TOTALLY agree with her complains/whining/bitching/downright scolding of inconsiderate smokers.

Check it out. I share her sentiments TOTALLY!

I have a crush on you..

Long before Ariel, I had a super duper crush on Zamani Slam. And this was before he decided that looking like a skeleton was cool and decided to stop eating. If I remember correctly, my one-sided love affair with Zamani started somewhere in 1997. Why him? I guess he reminded me of this guy I really really reaaalllllyyyy liked during my JC days. And its a plus point that he has one of the nicest vocals and his songs are pleasant to the ears.

I spent my afternoons karaoke-ing his songs just so I could ogle at him, my VCR was always on standby so that I could record whenever he was on the tv, I would diligently buy all the magazines so that I could cut his pictures out, and I think ( I think onli, eh!) I cried a little when I read about him & Siti Nurhaliza in URTV. Sahriana had a good time laughing about it when I told her the gossip cos she knew how much I hated Siti.

The nearest I got to him was when Slam held a concert at Expo somewhere in 2003. (around there lah). it didnt matter that I was so far back that all I could see was this super tiny, stick-like figure on the stage. I was just so excited to be in the same room as him! Hahaah...

Then came Takeshi.. but this was onli for a very very short term.

At a time where Malay girls were all going googoogaga over Hady Mirza, I was more interested in the Cina one. When I told people about it, they were like.."WHAT?!" Ikin would say, "It's just the hair, Along.." And I guess, it's true. I've seen Jonathan Leong outside, and I think he's quite a looker. I was more excited seeing him in person than when I saw Taufik Batisah. Ohh.. and he reminds me of Horace, this guy who made me looked forward to going to Sociology lectures during NUS days.

I developed another one-sided love affair with Young and Dangerous hero, Ekin Cheng when I was in my teens. Wokey... maybe not Ekin Cheng, but his character, Chan Ho Nam. I have the whole Young and Dangerous series because he is just so delicious to look at. Long hair+black outfits+bad boy type=YUMMY!! And I think, Shahreil is secretly in love with Chan Ho Nam too cos he seems to enjoy watching the series a lot more than I do!

Indra Brugman got me hooked to all the Indonesian infotainments because, being the hot thing back then, he was ALWAYS in the shows! Among all my crushes, I think he's the hottest! Even though he might prefer his own gender, if the gossips are to be believed, he still is HOT! Gay ke apa ke, aku tetap suka! Especially if his gay partner is really Betrand, wow! Lagik best!

ARIEL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must I say anything?

Just LOOK at him! MUST I SAY ANYTHING?!!! ARIEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thankful that I have the most self-assured husband in the world. I mean, if I had married Najib (Shahreil & Ikin would so laugh at that thought!), I think he'd have beaten me to death everytime I mention any other guy's name! Shahreil will just make fun of the guys that I like, especially Lan/Tomok NewBoyz (what was I thinking, anyway?!).
Ok. I really have no idea why I wrote this entry. I really must have a lot of time in my hands right now. Im waiting for my meeting which will ONLY start at 1.30pm.
Pop Quiz: What's the one common thing that all my crushes have??

P.U.R.P.L.E

Last night was the beginning of my concerts/ shows marathon for this month.
UNGU in concert!!!
Ok, I admit I wasn't that excited, cos..well, it wasn't Peterpan.
I'm not that crazy about them though I have to admit that they have really really good songs.
Their songs are so good that listening to them always make me feel sad.
I guess, more importantly it was an opportunity for me to get out, have fun and still feel young.
Better still, it was an all girls outing only. I wouldn't have felt comfortable shouting another guy's name with the hubby by my side. Heheh..

SO, it was just me, Ikin and Lynn.
My excitement dropped a notch when I realised how far we were from the stage.
I got a feeling that Shahreil did it purposely.. choosing seats that were way high ..
Heheh.. Sorry sayang..

Sad to say, I only knew 4 of the songs they sang. Memang ada niat nak hafal suma lagu dorang before the concert, but I just never got to doing it. *sigh*
But have to admit, they were much better than i expected.

Pasha's cute. Much much cuter in real life.
Tapi kenapalah nama dia Pasha? Mengingatkan aku kepada Fasha Sendat which is like a big Ewwwwww....
Aiyoh... if I could, I would have jumped all the way from the 4th level when I heard him sing Kekasih Gelapku. And, it's not only me ok... Lynn pun sama.
Indo guys are so sexy. One word out of their mouth and my knees go weak.
(jeles, sayang? Heheheh..)

Well, we didn't take any pics of Ungu cos.. malas ler nak berhimpit2 dengan beribu lagi manusia lain. One year ago I would have fought my way to get to Ungu, but I guess being a wife and a mother changes everything huh? *sigh*
Tapi kalau Ariel, jangan harap lah aku nak give up senang-senang macam tu!

Pics will be uploaded later cos it's all with Ikin.
We didn't take any photos of Ungu, true.
But we took photos with another star.
Nak tau siapa? Jeng..jeng..jeng...
Tunggu post saya yang seterusnya!
